Kitchen Installation TestimonialWe are very happy with our kitchen, completed in 2021 by Roy. All of the work was completed in a very organised and professional manner. It started with viewing the old kitchen to give an estimate. At this stage some knowledgeable ways of coping with issues were suggested and later duly carried out. A date was given for the work to begin. Roy checked in beforehand to make sure we were ready and the work started punctually on the day. The site was prepared both to minimalize dust in the rest of the house as we are open plan, and to prevent any possible spread of Covid in case any of us should have caught the virus. Plastering, tiling and electrical work were carried out by highly skilled professionals booked by Roy, all at the necessary times for the work to progress and no wasting of time. Roy’s very able assistant was also very skilful and worked to a high standard alongside Roy, finishing all jobs to a high standard and only satisfied when everything was pretty perfect. Wherever there were choices to be made e.g. handle positions, Roy checked with us to make sure we were happy before proceeding. Roy was happy to complete any extra tasks we saw as the work progressed. He was always polite and very helpful. Building and Renovation St Albans TestimonialRoy at Holmwood Construction was recommended to me by a friend and neighbour. I needed to have the floors in half the house lowered to accommodate underfloor heating, a new kitchen and walk in larder. I was dreading the upheaval and the dust and builders in and out of the house. I have to say that Roy and Louis were a delight to have around. They were polite, turned up when they said they would and always cleaned up at the end of the day. There was always going to be dust but they kept it to a minimum. They made all the upheaval bearable. The work was carried out quickly and as painlessly as possible. Roy found solutions to any problems. I cannot fault the quality of work – the floor is beautifully warm and solid and house no longer draughty. Roy brought in other trades for electrics, plumbing and decorating – all nice people with equally great quality of work. I am not a detail person – thankfully Roy is. He is a bit of a perfectionist. Any snagging was dealt with quickly with lots of general jobs being added in by me, and no complaining from Roy. He also built some decking for me, which is great. I can’t fault Holmwood Construction. They are great guys, did a fabulous job, were extremely tidy and were brilliant with the dogs (particularly trying to ensure they didn’t go on walkabout) and even tolerated the chickens stealing their lunch.
